Boca2mouth is a very basic structure borne out of the necessity of
sharing resources by a loose group of artists based in Brighton, UK. For several years now, we have been putting events together, making performances and collaborating in various projects. This structure allows us to focus our work through a website, share a mail list, open a bank account, deal with other organizations, etc. Although based in Brighton, our activities are not restricted to our city, we have organized events and performed in London and Newcastle and we are keen to carry on doing so. Being one of our members Galician, we have established collaborations with Galician artists and we are open to collaborate with artists and spaces of any nationality. We all have our own separate practices and we have learned and benefited from collaborating. We particularly enjoy working in the borders between art and entertainment and from putting people and acts together that are not usually associated. All our projects have been so far self-financing. By that we mean we have been using our own money and ask for help from our friends. As things progress we will try to get private and institutional funding for specific projects.
